My advice to you is to use your imagination. Flyers do not have to be boring. Use color, you colored cardboard, use balloons, music, anything that will the people’s attention to your yard sale. If you can afford it, the local newspaper is perfect to announce your event.

Do not be afraid to lay down the laws. After all, the garage sale will be held at your house and not all people are angels. There are thieves anywhere, anytime. If some people have large coats or big handbags, you can ask them politely to leave these items in their car or to put them in a carefully designed area so that you protect yourself from any possible theft. Don’t let anyone in your house and have a long mirror for the people who might want to buy clothes.

If you want your customers to give a good opinion of you, be polite, courteous and smile. This will really impress them. Have a happy selling.
